Aligning Iraq's Ecosystem Stakeholders

The fourth round of the open dialogue between stakeholders in Iraq's entrepreneurial scene took place at KAPITA Business Hub, hosting representatives from both the international community and the private sector.

The private sector was represented by Zain Iraq, Coca-Cola CCI, Aswar Group, Asiacell, EarthLink, and the National Bank of Iraq. The international community included the Netherlands Embassy, the US Embassy, IOM, GIZ Iraq, the World Food Programme, UNDP Iraq, and the European Union.

After delivering the outcomes of the three previous roundtables, we dug into the goals of tackling the challenges facing entrepreneurship-focused entities — and the role the private sector and international community have played and should play, so everyone collaborates to produce a better, optimized startup-promotion pipeline that can meet the forming supply side of access-to-finance. The next stop is gathering a final round of feedback from all parties and beginning talks with the government for even closer collaboration.
